In April 2009 with the assistance of the new landlord and Croydon Economic Development we accessed a derelict shop at 93 Church Road, Crystal Palace. We cleared, cleaned, painted and installed an exhibit of local artists work. The gallery (www.biggerpicturegallery.co.uk) has been going like gangbusters bringing out residents, business community and numerous local artists.
This shop has now been sold to a local photographer. In his own words 'I have seen this shop before but never thought much about it. Seeing you in here and what you have done to improve it gave me an idea that I could do something here'. We now look forward to our move to a much larger project in a disused car showroom in cooperation with SG Smith Motors.
