Hightown Arts for All
Wow well truly we have got off to a good start, The hard worked payed off when the door's were opened at 3pm on 2nd October, We were all kept on our toes with a large volume of people visiting over the course of the day and into the evening, with enquiries about what we were doing, The Space, The Projects, The Art, Ourselves, I was busy snapping away too, and happily selling work, an added bonus! Quite exhausted at 8pm when we shut shop and was glad to put my sore feet up and have a nice cuppa! It was not long before bed.
We are very proud and grateful of all the people involved in helping us get this off the ground, and hope that we can, or rather have, brightened up Hightown Road, by offering workshops to keep people happy and generate a general feeling of well being and intrest into a rather run down area, and introducing them to the world of arts. Hightown would make a perfect area for a very Arts based Street and I would love to see it progress in that direction with Cafe's, Gallerys , intresting gift shops, Workshops etc. music.
I myself an so very proud to be a Lutonian and this is my first Exhibition in my home town for over 20 years, I hope its not the last! I would like to think of this as just the beginning as Myself , Liz Aldous and Diana Hurley and Cindy Olsen have decided to join together as a Co-operative Arts Group, "Artists In Beds" offering our services, bringing art workshops to Luton's community's, community centers and schools nursing homes and much more...We are in the very early stages but are very exited. So watch this space! Anyway I hope You enjoy peeking at the photo's I have been taking for the Collage project, I again Thank everyone for their support and help and the public for allowing me to take Mad Fun Pics to be included in Our final artwork piece.
Blessings, peace, love, and light shine on Hightown.x!
