A vibrant, contemporary space in Maidstone, where a Co-operative of professional artists share their work with the cultural community and collaborate on national and international projects with other established arts organisations.

Making Art Work is a new creative space in the centre of Maidstone, at 23 Union Street. We will be opening our doors in September to become the home of a professional Co-operative of artists from Maidstone who will be creating imaginative work and events. We will:

• Build a welcoming, supportive artistic community that works to the highest professional standards and cultivates a culture of innovation
• Create a contemporary space to showcase interesting new work from ambitious artists in a series of vibrant exhibitions
• Offer high-quality events and workshops in the arts and crafts to share our expertise and skills
• Constantly develop our own work and collaborate with the wider creative community through enlightening talks and professional critiques
• Develop a cultural hub where artists and other creative businesses can rent flexible studio and office space
