She is well connected in the music scene there and also thought about doing something related to that in the space for young people. She's based in Oldbury which is about 6 miles from Birmingham city centre. Any info on available spaces would be gratefully received.

Comment by Nikki Carr on September 15, 2011 at 11:15am: We have a few void premises of different sizes in Kings Heath high street - it's the third largest in Bham (after city centre and Sutton). We get good footfall. Most are private landlords though so will involve some negotiating! Happy to discuss in more detail if you are interested Gloria? Kings Heath/Moseley may be good for music scene and we have numerous schools surrounding the high street...

We have space that is clean, illuminated and ready to go; we're not looking for anything in return, other than for you to bring our centre to life).

Re music - we have a sound system, stage and can house up to 1500 people in our central spare (it's open air), but, if your sister wants undercover space The Birmingham Ball Room is a new indi gig venue in our complex. (It used to be the Carling Academy). They have space for gigs for 30 – 3000 people, I’m not sure if they charge. http://www.birmingham-ballroom.com/
