Landlords and negotiating terms and conditions

Hi everyone

 

I'm looking to pick the brains of you who have been there, done that and got the t shirt!  I'm working on Gateshead's Meanwhile shop initiative which is still currently within it's infancy and we are looking at properties that are both in council ownership and private.  I would like to know of any issues you had persuading landlords and agents to work with yourselves on meanwhile use as well as any info you can provide on business rates, insurance etc.

 

All info is greatly appreciated
