Hello
I am  trying to acquire an empty shop to use for our  Art/ Heritage project
"Old Man River"    based in Sheerness
Can anyone advise if it is necessary to apply for Change of Use  - planning permission
just for a temporary project ??

I would try speaking to your local Planning Aid team - they can offer some free advice around planning issues and undertake longer pieces of work where appropriate. Check out their website to see who is best to speak to http://www.rtpi.org.uk/planningaid/

Hi Anna Thanks for the advice I am just hoping to get on without having to pay £350 for the change of use planning permission
It all depends whether our local council are feeling friendly !!
