Hi All,

I am looking to find a street or area where lots of creative projects in empty shops or spaces are taking place to study as part of a research project - can anybody help? It could be anywhere in the UK really but London or the South East would be better.

Thanks!

Coventry and Worthing probably have the most going on - trouble is because of the meanwhile nature, they probably won't all be happening at the same time.

Check out the Empty Shops Network for a list of current projects.

You may want to pop over to http://thelearningrevolution.ning.com site and pose question as well. Part of the learning revolution is about 'free or low cost spaces' for informal adult learning. There are 327 odd projects and many will be using these types of spaces.

Best regards...Chris..
Come to Colchester

Slackspace now have one large shop as an arts space with a busy programme of art and events, two shop windows and their fosterer's firstsite have just moved into an empty shop too!

Hello,

I think you would have a good chance of finding stuff like this in Brick Lane, near Liverpool st in London. The screen print studio that I'm with is hosting a 'pop-up' shop on the 18th Dec there and every time I go there I see new arts based galleries.

Hope that helps, see link for more info, Carla
